Privacy Policy

The short version

I collect the least I can get away with: your name, email address and WhatsApp number, so I can send you the files you asked for. I do not sell your data, I do not trade it, and I do not hand it to advertisers. If you ever want it deleted, one message is enough.

What I collect, and why

I do not knowingly collect anything from children. Purchases and sign-ups are made by parents and guardians. If you believe a child has submitted their details, tell me and I will delete them.

What I never do

• ✕Sell, rent or trade your personal information to anybody.
• ✕Share your email or number with advertisers, data brokers or other businesses.
• ✕Add you to unrelated marketing lists.
• ✕Store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password — those never touch my systems.
• ✕Publish a photograph you send me for a personalized storybook without asking you first, in writing.

Who else touches your data

A small business runs on a few good tools. These are the only third parties involved, and each one only gets what it needs:

• Razorpay — processes payments. Your payment details go to them, not to me. Governed by their own privacy policy.
• My email provider — delivers your download links and any updates you have opted into.
• My website host — serves this site and keeps standard server logs.
• WhatsApp — used only if you message me, or join the community group yourself.

Where the law requires it — a valid legal order, a tax audit, a fraud investigation — I may have to disclose information. That has never happened, and you would be told unless I were legally barred from telling you.

Cookies and what this site tracks

This site is deliberately light. It does not run advertising trackers or third-party profiling scripts.

• Your basket is stored in your own browser (local storage) so it survives a refresh. It never leaves your device until you check out.
• Razorpay sets its own cookies during checkout to keep a payment secure. That is unavoidable and it is what stops fraud.
• Basic analytics may be used to count visits and see which storybooks people look at, in aggregate. It is not used to identify you personally.

You can clear your browser storage at any time. The only thing you lose is the contents of your basket.

How long I keep things, and how they are kept safe

• Order records are kept as long as Indian tax and accounting rules require — currently up to 8 years.
• Email and WhatsApp contact details are kept until you ask me to remove them.
• Photographs sent for a personalized storybook are deleted once the book is delivered and approved, unless you ask me to keep them for a reprint.
• Data is held in password-protected accounts with two-factor authentication where the service offers it. Nothing sensitive is kept on shared devices or in public folders.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your data, I would tell you promptly and plainly, and say exactly what was involved.

Your rights — and how to use them

You can, at any time and without giving a reason:

• Ask what I hold about you. I will send it in a readable form.
• Correct it. A wrong email address is the usual culprit.
• Have it deleted. Everything except records I must legally keep for tax.
• Unsubscribe. Use the link in any email, reply “STOP”, or just tell me on WhatsApp.
• Object to marketing while still keeping access to files you have paid for.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant, anyone on my email list hears about it directly rather than finding out by accident.

Who you are buying from

Registered address and GSTIN are shared on request and appear on every invoice.
